Sowbelly

Hiya there Amos Iron Wolf,

If'n I ever think about sending this one off into the great "collector" beyond, you my friend will be the first good fellow to here from me about it!!.. However, because one of my new collection focus's happens to be Sowbelly's, I don't think that is going to happen any time soon.. In fact, this particular Bulldog Sowbelly is 1 of 4 of a Stag Bulldog Sowbelly Set.. You know,, I could have bought the whole set from the same fella for north of $329.00 dollars,, but hell no,, whats the fun in that??:D

Anyway, blessings to all!!.

Heheh, what was it that general said about Chuck Norris' character in the second Delta Force movie. "Always the hard way!" More fun to enjoy the hunt.

Thank You very kindly McGreg. I am trying to gain all the knowledge possible on this pattern. Any and all further information you may be able to furnish would be extremely helpful!. Thanks

Check out this five-blade Shadley on Gary Moore's website.

As Jed Clampett used to say "woooo doggie!"

I haven't got a sowbelly one and haven't really had a hankering for one, but y'all keep showing these purdy rascals on here I may just have to correct that with one or two.

Picked this guy up at Parker's knife show out in Pigeon Forge Tenn. just today. Now if you like nice vintage knives this is a show you really should attend. Here's a 1st Generation ( Pre-Parker made by Charlie Dorton ) Bulldog Sowbelly.

Very nice Greg. I like the pinched bolsters and acorn shield. Looks like all of the blades are stamped? So how old is it?

Richard Rogers 3 blade.

Very nice Mother of Pearls there fellows!

Gus you caught that Richard Rogers in just the perfect light in the photograph to show off an amazing rainbow of colors. Sweeeet:eek: !

Here's a little proof that the sowbelly is an older pattern. An Empire, possibly pre-WWI! Worn, but working!
