Space saver cup under guyoot bottle?

The backpacker guyot works best for me at work, at camp and the car. The tappered sides fit better in my car's cup holder though.
I was looking into the Snow Peak Titanium camp cup. It is so sweet and light. I couldn't justify the cost and settled for the GSI cup. Still works great!

You guys are killing me! The closest Dick's to me is like 6 hours away. I've wanted one of those for a while, but I just don't see spending that much for a water bottle when I could be spending that money on knives.

I've got a scout shop a couple of towns over so maybe I'll check over there.

I have the GSI cup and a SP Ti-700 that both nest a Nalgene or Guyot.
Also have a 64 oz KK and a REI Pasta cup that nest perfect together.

Something like this?

Who makes that cap, and is the wire bail still available? Thanks.

I see this is an older thread. Anyone know if Dick's still carries these Guyot bottles?

sadly they do not. They are a camelbak company now or at least all the dicks around here are. they still have the plastic nalgene's though.

Dick's cleared them out unfortunately but you can buy this directly from Nalgene

Same specs as the standard Guyot Designs stainless bottle

I think they're the same as the Standard. One is just a Brita promotional.
Crazy cheap shipping, but I fear that means they just stick it in a bubble mailer.
I just had a Stanley thermos delivered that way (same cheap shipping), and yes, of course it was dented in two places.

Ah, but a thermos is a vacuum bottle which makes it much more prone towards damage due to the negative pressure inside the double wall. ;)

This is the Standard bottle just with some additional logos. I was able to rub the logos off with a Scotchbrite pad and it looks like a generic Guyot Standard now. As for shipping, it came nicely packaged in a box with some padding around the bottle and shipping time was about 2 days.

Thanks for this info. I ordered the Brita version. I'm going to pick up a CapCap for it and look into making a bail.
Oh, and what I glanced at and thought was a shipping charge wasn't a shipping charge. It was sales tax. Shipping was free.

I got a SS Guyot off the clearance rack at Dick's awhile back . . . for $10 bucks. I should have grabbed them all.

The capCap is the best Nalgene accessory ever - really improves its drinkability. I am going to make a bail for it out of some split rings and a fishing leader w/swivels.

The Brita ones are 32 oz. The standard guyouts are 38.

The website now says 38 on the Brita versions along with the same exact dimensions of 8 x 3.5.
With the same dimensions, the walls on the Brita would have to be insanely thick to take up 6 ounces of volume.

I read a post on another forum that it (the Brita version) would definitely hold 36 ounces up to the bottom of the neck. So maybe 2 more ounces if you fill up the neck?
I don't know for sure, mind you, but I've researched these a good bit, and I think they're the same bottle as the Standard.

The stainless bottle with the tapered bottom is definitely the 32 ounce version. Different animal altogether though.
