Speaking of Strider...

Hacks with dremels have been screwing up firearms for years....it was only a matter of time before that carried over to knives. :)

Pimpin got really popular and a lot were doing it , probably still are.

Take a new firearm to a smith who is a hack ( we have enough of those in this town ) , then send it to the manufacture and try to get them to warranty something someone else screwed up. Ain't gonna happen most of the time.

Take your new car , have a bumpstick cam put in , larger fuel injectors , headers and any other mods , and try to get the dealer to honor the warranty...best of luck.

PC's are the same way , take your new Dell , open the case and start modding , you have a problem later , bet they don't honor the warranty in most cases.

I can't see how any one can expect ANY knife manufacture to honor their warranty on something that was modded.

Strider was doing it for a long time and they just said they had enough, way too many man hours fixing other peoples screw ups etc.

There are posts over on the green forum giving the reasons for the change, and horror stories of knives they have gotten back that people expected Strider to fix for free.

I am aware they used to , never understood why they did , glad to hear they stopped.

Haven't read the stories on green , as it is not someplace I visit , but I have heard many horror stories first hand from Josh.
