Spear-Carriers!

An early TC that's seen action.

This arrived today. It would take no prisoners....:D

Closed length about 10cm/4" All steel, Sandvik blade, Horn scales. The talk on this could remove all the fingers on one hand.....Au Sabot makes a very tough, credible work-knife, not GEC finish maybe but not their price either, but available and a lot of credibility. No hint of blade-play, very tough. Comes in various woods too. If you were a land worker, vineyard, farmer, gardener etc these knives would very much suit a daily routine of demanding, grimy, cutting tasks.

Very smart looking oldsters indeed. Are they both Czech Mikovs? Do you have any idea of the age? Like to see other shots, closed, top down if possible?

Thanks, Will
Thank you Will! The lower one is a Czech Mikov dated 1970's, when the country had not yet split. The bigger one is Solingen made, and has a tang stamp I haven't, to this day, been able to identify. As to age, my guess is that it is considerably older than the Mikov. I promise more pics as soon as I can take them.

Here are the pics. I've included a close up of the Solingen's tang stamp in case somebody can identify it. The top view pic shows how off centered the German knife blade is. Will, please, let me know if you'd like any other details.
