  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Spear-Carriers!

This arrived today. It would take no prisoners....:D

Closed length about 10cm/4" All steel, Sandvik blade, Horn scales. The talk on this could remove all the fingers on one hand.....Au Sabot makes a very tough, credible work-knife, not GEC finish maybe but not their price either, but available and a lot of credibility. No hint of blade-play, very tough. Comes in various woods too. If you were a land worker, vineyard, farmer, gardener etc these knives would very much suit a daily routine of demanding, grimy, cutting tasks.

Does this one have any file work on the spine? I have one of these coming in Olive wood and it does have file work.

No, it's plain spring but all nicely flush. The French do really excellent file-work though, always appropriate never vulgar, Olivewood is a good choice too.

Another Sabot arrived this week but disappointed, crude bolster work and the first French knife I've ever had that came BLUNT! They'll have to exchange this one.

I received my carbon Sabot Pradel last week and the only thing I did not like was when closed the point of the blade sit’s s little higher than the end of the handle just enough to bite the hand when reaching for it. It is the smaller one. Sorry yours came that way. Do you think you can sharpen it? How bad is the bolster?
