Spear-Carriers!

H Honest_Thomas Your pictures are always atmospheric, that last one shows two very admirable straight out Spears on top of a mossy, damp piece of wood that looked like a well head in my country place garden which had a nice iron pump bolted on it. I thought the well head was just decorative , defunct, after a decade or so of rotting and rather attractive lichen growth suddenly it sagged. Thought OK I can fix it come spring, come spring the Iron pump was half way collapsed into into head- no worries. Only when I started to rescue it , it dropped and d. well nearly took me with it too as it had the whole mechanism c.50kg and a 10 metre drop plus unknown water depth  Now I cannot retrieve it and have to keep all boarded up against visiting wildlife or Cats & Dogs falling in, nosey trespasser kids too - but not so worried about them....🤣

Another thing, there's no such thing as a lowly Spear....as you full well know :D
