Nearly 9 in blade (in front of the wood). 60 in OAL. 3/16 in 1095 and ipe. The ipe is epoxy and brass pinned with rawhide wrappings. Handle left a bit rustic. I think it looks cool. It is not shaving sharp. It has a functional edge.

Now to say this....This blade is made with the same quality as my other blades. You can not park a truck on it, bang it against a tree, bust concrete, throw it into shit, stand or sit on it without causing damage to the spear or yourself. It is designed as a workout and training tool. The functional edge is sharp. You will cut the hell out of yourself with it. It is heat treated and tempered as are all my blades. I have a spear I am taking hunting. If you choose to do this, you are responsible for your own actions. I am saying this only because I was asked if I "guarentee" this spear to be "combat worthy". My only guarentee is that you will royally fuck yourself up if you are an idiot and do not know how to properly use a spear......

I am asking $230.00 shipped for this piece (in CONUS). Please email me for more details. Paypal or MO good. Thanks

I must agree with everyone else, outstanding description!!! It's nice to see someone put in the "Idiot Disclaimer". Now if we could just get everyone to include this with every blade sold to prevent those of us with common sense from looking bad when an idiot plays with a blade. When will stupid people learn that blades are tools, not toys? Just because Hollywood makes it look cool with editing and special effect doesn't mean you can do it at home.

Choice of wood is very good. The toughest wood known.
Fine fiber with extreme strength. Looks like a jute wrap, which will stand up over time, and absorb a goodly amount more epoxy then para cord because of the very fine tough fiber make up. Nice job very useful piece.

The Atlantic board walk is made from ipe wood. It was drilled and screwed together. Shows very little wear and lives the the elements with little or no mold mildew or bug infestations. The old board walk use to be taken down just before winter every winter.
I have a bokken which has broken several hickory pieces in training. Now I work a bag and do not recover from bruises like I use to.Ipe is an amazing wood.
