I carry my BK2 in the Combat Master, and I've always debated a little on what should be in the front pouch. I usually carry a multi-tool and a SOG sharpener/firestarter. I've found the multi-tool to add some significant weight. I may slim down to a smaller, lighter one.

What do you keep in your pouch? It doesn't have to be the SO Combat Master, but I'm curious to see what will fit.

lighter, firestarter and small flashlight...more could fit im sure but then itd make it harder to get items out

I was going to buy a Spec Ops Combat Master for my BK-2, but I ended up getting a custom kydex sheath done up for it. (which is still being made)

But if I had a combat master, I would put my all time favourite sharpening stone, the Fallkniven DC-4 and a fire steel in there. With those two items, I can have a fire going and will not have to worry about “preserving” my edge because of not being able to sharpen it. And with the included paracord, I could also do my best to have a shelter up.

I cut my pouch off. Like you said it made it too hefty. Instead I use Ranger bands. This way if I absolutely hafta tote something on my sheath for whatever reason(I amputated both hands, lost my pockets, backpacks full, etc.) I just strap it on with the good old fashioned rubber!

nothing like a good buncha rubber to get the job done :>

Just ordered a Fieldmaster, which is just a re-branded (and cheaper) combat master. Although i dont have it yet, I'll be keeping my Swisstool or Leatherman Wave, and if theres a room, a small sharpening stone.

Lets see some pics of this thing. Everytime I google it all i get is the spec ops website pics and theyre about the size of a quarter. So id like to see everyones setups to get a better understanding of the look, colors, and size.

Dang! Wish I would've known about this sooner. I looked and it appears all they have left are longs in black and mossy oak. $24 for a Spec Ops sheath is a deal!

I carry a pill bottle with fat wood and PJ cotton balls and a Light my fire fire steel and small compass. I always wear a neck knife so I dont carry a smaller knife in there.

Guyon, in that pic which is on the right? is that a combat master? whats with the clasp and not the velcro over the pouch

The one on the right is a "Survival Sheath", I think this has been discontinued from Spec Ops. However if you Google it you might find it. The one on the left of course is the Combat Master. As for the contents of the tin...only Guyon knows.

I was hoping to get the Walnut Brown sheath, and was willing to spend the spec-ops price, but they only made the Coyote brown. I ended up going for the mossy oak, just because it uses the same chestnut brown trim, straps and stitching. Pretty sure they're exactly the same though, i'll post up when i get mine in.

since guyon and moose cornered the market on spec ops, i had to wait until Blade Show to buy a discount 6 inch.

shame the Field models aren't six inches... that would fit a number of nice knives.

the regular model easily fits the BK3, BK5, and BK7. nice stuff those.

it's ESP nice for someone needing fast and secure BK3 deployment. solid.

for the walnut brown model just google texashuntco its made by specops
crap i looked and see they are all sold out. sorry.

^^^Yup, thats what i wanted. I might try dyeing the fabric a darker brown, with just the mossy oak pattern visible, but i'll see when I pick it up. How do you like that sheath with the 7 btw? those slabs look killer with the sheath and patina...

I've heard conflicting reports if these fit the 9 or not. Anyone able to give me an answer?
