Im also new to altoids as well :D. Damn that's y I wanted the survival model, o well ill see what I can come up with to put in there. Thanks guy

in all honesty the survival model barely holds an altoids tin. its so tight in it. I learned to stuff with fewer items and go with essentials instead of cramming things in
 
Ok another question, anyone know how to make the lanyard at the bottom of the sheath? Id like to add on to the bk10's but don't know how
 
i ened up making a cobra stitch. but my original plan was to make one of the ones on the bottom of the spec ops sheaths, that twisted look, ive seen it on other production sheaths and it looked cool, oh well this is what i got and its about 5-7 extra feet of cord if need be

I found these tins that are slightly smaller than an Altoids tin. They fit the Survivor sheath a lot easier.

I posted up a WTB for a Combat Master in olive drab (discontinued, though I have found two vendors with them).
Instead, a BFC member PM'd me and said he thought his buddy had a couple of Survivor sheaths in his shop. Did I want them?
The price was great. I snagged one, and Moose snagged the other. Just a fluke. They've long been gone from the online pipeline.

Those who still want the long Texas Hunt Cos. in Walnut or Camo need to do some more savvy Googling. I'm just sayin'.

Yeah, and I actually done some swapping of sheaths lately, I put my BK2 back in the ESEE sheath, and put my user BK10 in my SpecOps. Since I ground the ramp off, it fits like a glove, and really lightened up that combo. Since I haven't found a tin I'm looking for, right now, the pocket is stuffed with paracord, not sure how much, but at least 20'.

Looks good too, I'll try to snap a couple of photo's.

ill keep looking. i really really like the look of that survivor in coyote....man i wanna find one bad. I just order a combat master in coyote but im not gonna hold my breath on liking it near as much

The operative search term would be tan, I believe. That's before they started making the coyote brown.

I've been searching for just the sheath any color. Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to out of production products

I'll be honest, the Combat Master is better IMO. No need losing sleep or hair trying to get one. I thought the Survival had more room in the pouch, but really its about a wash. Plus, I think the Combat Master pocket is better, it doesn't have zipper running right through the middle.

Just a suggestion.
