Special Pricing On NW SAR 5 ! ! !. . . .Yes it involves alcohol and a long story!!!!!

I'm seriously torn if I should get the 4" or the 5" version of SAR. I wish I could get both, but that's just not possible :(
Could we see the pic of 4" SAR, PLEASE JERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also im currently on assignment in Kosovo which will put the local time at 3-4am, well after the internet spots are closed... How will the ordering work, first to reserve or first to submit CC# or...? Im guessing the latter. I could use the hotel computer but its sketchy as hell and I dont want my CC# nabbed... Will Paypal be accepted? Easy to change my password the next morning.

Thanks for the info!

I may be wrong, but I believe Jerry's pretty supportive of military men and women. It may be that if you send Jerry an email (which can be found at www.bussecombat.com) he may put one aside for you. He has demonstrated in the past that he has a deep respect for those serving freedom.

So for the uninitiated, if I check out the Busse store from www.bussecombat.com this friday 4/11 between 9 and 10 eastern I will be able to purchase one of these right?

Not quite. You're going to need to read the stickies at the top of the Busse forum, and check the link posted earlier about Ganzas. That should explain how to go about grabbing this knife. If you have any questions after reading up, let us know and we'll be glad to answer.

They will never ask for your CC number in an email.
The ganza email reserves your blade, then you make the payment arrangements!:thumbup:

No wonder you are so old.

I think this is the sixth birthday you have had in the 18 months I have known you.

.

Hey ... if it gets me the INFI, eh??? :D

{This time ... it's for REAL!! I advance one more step up the ladder of "seniority"!!!}

The next time you drink, can you make it a 10 inch bladed model and sell it for $187:thumbup:

How about:

Blade Length: 7"
Overall Length: 13"
Blade Width: 1 3/4"
Grind: Convex
Handles: Micarta and G-10

Um, Gerber...check post number 43 in this thread. The top pic has tan/orange micarta on the right, the bottom pic has what looks like black micarta on the left.

Maybe if we long-blade fans pooled our resources for a LOT of JWB, then bribed one of his close associates to keep it readily available ...

Well, we can dream. :)

God, I hope I don't flake out on friday! I've never gotten it together for a Ganzza.. This time I can!

Patrick

I'm with you OldPhysics. A whip around of all the long blade loving Hogs could get us a barrel or two of JWB. Then all we need is someone on the inside to whisper in Jerry's ear.

My vote is for the FOAAA (Father of all Argonne Assaults). 14 or 15 inch blade i'm thinking and beefy to .32 thick, fully convexed to boot. Well I can dream can't I?

I think I now have a perfect candidate for my full sized INFI Pikal knife :D

If I had the money and the equipment, i'd so chop it down to look like this:

ooooh, and I'd buy an extra one to thin out the handles to make a kitchen knife...

kitcheny verison. soooo, I've decided that this is the ultimate blank slate busse modifyable knife. at these prices, it's well with in the range of "not destroying something rare and expensive", and it lends itself to a lot of modifications, especially with having larger un-contored handles, wich allow for a lot of variation in what you can do with it.

obviously it would be better (and maintain its warranty) to send it in to the custom shop, but it would be very fun to buy a couple of these to mess with.

I like the bottom rendition myself, even for field use. I like the handle shape and the blade area at the lower bottom of the handle. how difficult will it be to 'rework' this into a different shape as you are suggestting? i know I read the thread where someone did a beautiful job on a SusScrofa, that's what I'm thinking....
