Specific SAK tools...why?

I got a new SAK for Christmas and I have carried it everyday since then. It is my first Wenger, one of the new Evo 18s with the black rubber handles. It has a large speer point, a can opener, bottle opener, wood saw, scissors, phillips head, nail file and awl. It is a four-layer knife, but it is only 3.25 inches long so it is easy to carry in your pocket. The can opener is a little different shaped than the ones on my Victorinox knives, but it seems to work just fine. So far the combination of the saw and scissors and the fact the black rubber handles just make the knife look cool make me think this will be my EDC knife for a long time.

I wish that vic made their 111mm models with alox scales. (and to be able to keep the tweezers would be nice too.

I have a couple farmers, and the only thing I would like is the second blade, with out sacrificing the punch or can opener-bottle opener layer. The hiker is one of my favorite sak's for outdoor use.

The short knife is good for many things!

the alox saks just feel tough in the hand they sem lke they can put up with alot....the thicker blade is nice the saw and awl are great....for woods use they could forgo the bottle opener and adda small blade..in reality the vic camper or huntsman is almost the the ideal combo of tools...(but not in alox)

Huntsman with alox would be great.:D

4 layer custom Farmer would be nice.
1st layer large blade and awl
2nd layer saw
3rd layer scissors
4th layer small blade and combo tool (can-opener/bottle-opener)
I'm thinking you would have to mod the nail nick on the small blade to be ambidextrous because it usually pivots on the other end therefore the regular nail nick would be inaccessible.

A vic compact with a saw added would be great as well.
The only thing missing is an awl.
And actually i know you can use the fixed blade portion of the scissors as an awl. I just tried it, works ok for boring holes in softwood and leather.
Its a little long and you have to be more careful and its not quite as good as a regular awl but it does the job. It seems to work almost as well as the spine based awls.
The Farmer/Pioneer/etc front loading awl beats both of those however!
