Specs And Pricing For The TNT-15 Sword

This Sword is being ordered by so many if my sheath pre-order list is any indication.
Heck I ordered 5 of them.

Lots of folks are ordering multiple sheaths.

I think I know what lots of people are getting for Christmas this year.

So the second $1 charge is normal then? OK, I just thought it odd that there was another one marked pending.
the second $1 charge is NOT normal, I'm not sure what's going on here. There's never been a 2nd charge for any "vault" for any of my prior orders.

Request for some info-spoonfeeding, read as much as I could on it, but couldn't find an answer, sorry, but question is: Does the Resiprene-C handle mix contain any actual latex/rubber? Interested but the person i'd be buying it for has an anaphylactic allergy to latex, even some of the mostly-plastic mixes out there will cause a reaction. Thanks!

Hopefully someone here can give you a good answer.

I'm sure some will say Everyone gets a reaction from Resiprene-C......but it's usually Favorable......😁😁😁

I'm pretty sure it is a kind of rubber. You should contact Busse to learn for sure. I probably wouldn't risk it, unless you wrapped the whole handle in epoxy-impregnated silk or something, but you would need to include the guard. Or put on a new handle made of wood or micarta or such, which isn't too hard but loses the nice shock-reducing capability of res-c.

As a polymer chemist I have been trying to determine exactly what Resiprene-C really is. As far as I can tell it is a fully synthetic material in the group called 'Thermoplastic Elastomers'. Actual latex rubbers are heat cured, but cannot be remelted. Res-C can be remelted, based on user reports. After 15 years on the forum we have never seen a single complaint re allergic reaction. My conclusion is that there is no natural latex in Res-C.

Having said all that, my advice is that you call the Shop directly and ask about allergen potential. Busse almost never disclose technical material details on this forum.

The truth comes out!!
"TNT" really actually stands for "Tortilla-Nacho-Tequila"... 🥃
The red you see on these blades are tomato remnants from making salsa! ... Or blood of enemies trying to steal aforementioned TNT delectables ...

David Brown David Brown - I think TACO sheaths thematically goes better with the TNT than pancake sheaths this time then, no? 🌮
