Mine came with some factory scratches. No big deal, as I intend to scratch it up some more. Dimples just make her cuter. ;)
You picture is the first I’ve seen to kind of show the secondary CBT. Between the main CBT in the center and the edge of the blade, there is some micro CBT. It’s easiest to see near the choil.

I don't feel you are being picky....
Mine has a couple too, but I think mine were smaller?
I wonder if it's from clamping during the machining process, they prob should smooth the face of the clamps....
could be defects/dents from the raw material that didn't get ground off, but they are odd shapes, none the less?


I also have some "squigglies" light chatter marks.
not as bad as my 1311 was. Those were Deep.

I'm pretty sure these blades are meant to be beaten, not looked at.
 
Im sure if it really bothers you, the shop will exchange or some fellow swine might be open to trading theirs with you who doesnt care and is gona pound on it anyways. Id offer but i got gouuged hard on extortion fees coming aross the border to canada and shipping these again wouldnt be cheap either.

Mine has the dimples also. My first thought was that it’s a clamp mark. I will have to get some pics this weekend.
 
The TNT is very cool. I like the handle and the overall feel and balance. I can’t wait to get my second one delivered. I NEED one for each hand. David Brown will be making the matching sheath set. This will be a very sweet sword combo. As much as I like the TNT, and appreciate the balance. I can’t help wishing it was thinner and lighter. I have to take the yards word for it , that this thickness is optimal. I will be dreaming of a big brother for the TNT. 3/16” thick, 18”-20” long blade, and add 2” to the handle.
I would have to order 2 of this was well !

So far I've used two different versions on many knives. First I started out with a clear version. I didn't like the looks of it.

My second roll was black. I feel it looked alot better. I'm going to look for Red, if I can find it for the TnT.

Basically, It must be some kind of repair tape. For plumbing, mostly. It has a plastic film that separates it form the rest of the roll so it doesn't stick to itself.

It Only sticks to itself.
Nothing else.
it's a little tricky peeling the film off, and wrapping the silicone tape around the handles. But it funtions amazingly well. Is water proof, I assume. Seems very durable, and doesn't come off easy.

I might have some pics I took of my other SYKCO handles I wrapped.
Underneath those, i slit high temp tubing lengthwise, opened it up, and layered it on the handle for a more palm filling grip. Then wrapped the silicone tape around the handle a couple times.

I haven't found anything better. :)

I'm dreaming for a 18"-20" long blade of the 1311 style blade type.
.1875" thick.
Long, two-handed Regulator style handle, with Soft chewy grip (like the Regulator)

Nothing would beat It.
*except Me.

From the pics and the feedback that I've reread (Several times now), it seems like this is going to be pretty much what I was hoping it would be. A real short sword. Not a woodchopper (Though it looks like it actually does OK at that), but an actual last ditch SHTF personal weapon that can easily be carried around.

It looks like I've found what I've been looking for. 😁 Problem is, I have a bad feeling I'm going to be looking to get a second one, lol.

I'll get back to you after I beat on mine some more, and if I change my mind....haha.

Some wanted a smaller feel to the sword. I think they got that with this.....
I kinda wanted it to be a bit larger feeling. Maybe it will grow on me some, but it feels kinda diminutive to me. Toy-like.
