I'm Not making him any sandwiches.....only if you're quoting your wife
Please do! I've been waiting patiently for some patina pics on these! Finally got mine today! I know... No pics yet... But maybe tomorrow! I'm super excited!!
Might have to start my new coffee grounds patina project. Heard it turns SR-101 almost a Navy blue tone.
is that just used coffee grounds left to sit on the blade? Finally got mine today! I know... No pics yet... But maybe tomorrow! I'm super excited!!

That's what I read somewhere... But now that I read up more on it... It's super dark but rubs off easily. Might return to the mustard and vinegar idea... Or even slices of lemons.... I don't have a piece of warm bloody steak big enough to do the whole blade.is that just used coffee grounds left to sit on the blade?
OK, I finally got this short sword in hand. Make no mistake, this is indeed a real short sword, NOT a machete.
This sword is indeed light and fast enough for martial arts useage IMHO. Even when using it one handed as well. Speaking of which, I am happy to say that I can indeed get a two handed grip on the handle if need be. It is everything I'd hoped it would be : a light, compact short sword that can easily be carried for when SHTF and you're all out of ammo.
could you take some pics of it?Hey fellow hogs, got mine today. Nice and sharp. It’s the first Busse I received with some rust on it. Since it’s already a raw dog finish, will it hurt the value for me to take a rust eraser to it?
Here is my latest.... 3 hour coffee soaked SR-101 on two Yard pups.is that just used coffee grounds left to sit on the blade?
so. used moist coffee grounds spread on the surface.
Both knives are satin.so. used moist coffee grounds spread on the surface.
is this satin or stonewashed finish?
looks good!
When I get around to it... But I'm not sure what I wanna do. I'm thinking about cold gun blueing.I'll be looking forward to your tnt patina!
Very Cool!!!!!
