The Spec Bump is a bulky knife, plain and simple.
As beautiful as it is...
is it any thicker than the speed bump?
Are the current Speed Bump handles actually flat with no relief?
The aluminum ones are, for sure.

Wow, I found one with a premium uncoated blade AND Ti slabs!![]()
Sorry, I meant the current Akulon/Santoprene ones, the Aluminum Speed Bump is one of the ones I measured.

Yes, I saw that that measurement and was wondering why you were asking...
Anyway, I haven't owned one of the Akulon/Santoprene versions, but I've seen and handled one. It's not dead flat like the aluminum handled one.
Also, IMO, it's sort of cheap looking.
"Ugly" comes to mind as well.
LOL! Hard to argue with that OE!
I still need a blue one like that.
If we could only convince Kershaw to do a Ti version with stud lock.

I'm not sure I am remembering right, but it seems to me that the original ones had grey Akulon with black Santoprene overmolded. All the current pictures I've seen, show black Akulon with black Santoprene, looks much better.
The akulon version has a good bit of convex contour to it's slabs.
The one I saw, quite recently, was grey and black as you describe.
