Speed bump vs. Spec bump

You already have green and grey??

The grey one was definitely tough to find. The green one not so bad.
Keep an eye on kershawguy's for sale thread in the Exchange forum, he seems to have the green ones from time to time.

LOL! Hard to argue with that OE!
I still need a blue one like that.
If we could only convince Kershaw to do a Ti version with stud lock.

I am 2 bumps away from a whole set. I still need the Gray Ti and a polished/grooved G10 Spec. Look at my sig line. If you can help me out let me know.:D

Heard that Spiral. The grey titanium is the last one I need too. The only one I ever found was on ebay and the bids just went too crazy for me so I missed out. Good luck to ya.

I bought the Spec Bump a few months ago and really like it. I went for it over the Speed Bump for the S30V steel and G10 handle which has been discussed above. I do not find it too heavy or ackward to carry. It seems to have a nice WOW factor when others see it. The only one I have that gets more attention is my ZT 302. Get one and enjoy.

could anyone post a real life picture (not ones off the website) of both the speed and spec bump together to compare?

which one would you say looks "cooler" i have always been a function first guy but since i am having trouble deciding than im looking for anything to push me over the edge on one of them lol. thanks.

Nice Bump collection! Now it just looks like you need the black/black current Speed Bump, The red Snap-On Speed Bump, the Grey Ti Bump, and a Spyker.

It never ends does it?

Currently my goals are to get a Gray Ti and a First Run Polished G10 Spec

I'd love to get one of the first run Spec Bumps. Those polished grooved handles are the main reason I got the Spec/Speed.

I really need that Blue Bump too.
My real goal is to get that Olive G10 handled Spec Bump Proto that Thomas had.
And maybe one of those purple Ti Bumps that were supposedly made when they were testing colors.

I have the black/gray handled speed bump, I might have to get some new scales made for it after seeing the other 2 versions.

kershawguy has an active thread right now, selling some Ti Bumps:

does anyone have any pics of the black/black speed bump? i am probably not going to go all out with this bump craze (as cool as they are tho), so this will probably be my only one (although it wouldnt be the first time ive said that about something lol). So im trying to pick the right one, not trying to beat this into the ground but if im gonna get a new knife than i want the right one.

Well thanks to everyone who posted in this. I ended up going with the Spec Bump for xmas. I guess i figured that it would be easier to justify spending $60 for the speed (if i wanted it later) on a non-holiday than $110....

plus the S30V and G-10 got to me....

thanks again.

Congrats. Nice to see that you went with your gut and got what you really wanted. And it only took 56 posts for us to convince you ;). You will be happy with it and it should provide you many years of trouble free service. Enjoy, and let us know what you think it when it comes in.

I agree; Spec Bump's the way to go if you're not sure.

It is a really great knife.
