The first time I saw the SpeedTech ad and read about the one piece CNC machined frame, I was hooked! As a CNC programmer/machinist myself this impressed the heck out of me. For the first time, high tech machine made had my interest over handmade!
There has been many reviews of the Synergy so I wont go into that other than saying the knife is breathtaking and funcions perfectly!
Doing business with Jim O'Young is pleasure. My knife spent several extra days in UPS's hands and Jim Tracked it down and kept me posted on the delivery. Jim is VERY knowledgeable and answered all of my questions as I decided on the knifes many options. He is very concerned about customer satisfaction!!
The only bad thing about this knife is that my wife fell in love with it. To make matters even worse, I made the mistake of showing her the other color combinations that are available! I'm glad her birthday isn't until October!:P

As the good Dr.Lathe said, Jim is a very easy person to do business with. Very quick delivery times, answers E-mails promptly, beautiful knife design, excellent finished product, and he is even helping me out with a little experiment

I have dealt with Jim on buying from his personal collection. He was great to deal with, and very fair.
A joy to talk to, and enjoyed just talking about everything besides knives.Does not make you feel like he is running you off.
I recommend him highly. Rating *****

I agree about Jim and Speed Tech. I have a nice example and although I havent cut anthing with it I have played with it a lot! Unbelievably well made and tolerances are tighter than any foldong knife I have ever handled!

Rob,
That's exactly how I feel about my knife! I would carry it more if it wasn't so nice looking. I think it will be my new "dress carry" knife! Everyone I have shown it to starts drooling! If I hit the lotto I'll buy another for a user

Jim,
If you get any orders from the Lakeland Florida area, I want a commission

Hello friends!

Thanks for all of the kind words, but I can only take half of the credit.

It takes two parties to have a successful business relationship and EVERYONE of you who I have dealt with either on a SPEEDTECH or personal transaction has treated me exactly the same way. When both parties show each other mutual trust, honesty and respect, everyone benefits.

So it is I who thank YOU for being such great customers and friends.

Stay sharp!

Jim

Takes one to know one, Murray! Jim responded literally within minutes of my email, and was very cool and helpful. I don't have a Synergy yet, but it is my next folder.

Jim O"Young is an honorable man. to me: you can't give much more of a compliment than that. it says it all. I just got a speedtech yesterday. it was'nt quite the shade i was expecting, so there was some amount of initial displeasure.of course, jim offered to replace or refund. i declined. BOY AM I GLAD I DID!this knife has grown on me more and more. my benza has hardly been out of my pocket!!! i keep looking for things to cut, stab, or otherwise destroy with the tech. this knife is great!i plan on carrying the tech and the benza for my daily carry blades. i just can't decide whether to alternate or carry them together!![today was together]!thanks again, jim. russ

Jim is one of the true class acts in the knife industry. He's an extremely personable guy, more than willing to do whatever it takes to not only make sure that you are taken care of, but are more than happy with the end result.

Class + Friendly + Personable + Savvy + Competent = Jim and his partners.

I'd be proud to work with them, anytime.
