A great looking Barlow.
Day 11
I never thought I’d like to carry a pocket knife as large as this one, but I do and it’s one of my favorites. The GEC made Remington Grand Daddy Barlow Bullet Knife, “The Cowboy”.

WowWe've all heard of Mouse Guns (this one is more Rat I think )

But is there such a thing as a Mouse Barlow you ask? Could be this mite from Schatt&Morgan...It's really loud snappy and has a nice long blade for the whole of the frame, some good Stag - especially Pile side and pinned shield.
DAY ELEVEN

Thank you, Mr.P! I agree they're not bad to tote, I got used to it fairly quickly. I have my eye on an old Case XX, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I love yours! That's a beauty ! ................. granddaddies aren't too bad to tote around, once you get use to them. My old Case XX feels almost weightless in my horizontal belt sheath.![]()

I am at where you were, exactly. I really want to enjoy it but I can't. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle of that to hopefully enjoy with my new Case Barlow!Day 11:
Work week's over and the weekend is here!
I've never been a huge fan of hard liquor even though I've admired those who are. There's something about a hard drink on the rocks or neat that just spoke to me. Maybe it was my grandfather who always seemed to have a glass of amaretto in hand. But, I hated shots and assumed I wouldn't like drinking neat either. Usually a beer / dry red wine guy. However, I did enjoy a good whiskey sour back in the college days. So... maybe yearning for those days, I picked up a bottle of Woodford Reserve Double Oak not too long ago. Made a short post somewhere on the porch about it. Decided to drink it neat, with a few drops of water, and on the rocks to see what might work for me. It was pretty good... but it never blew my mind.
Well, I finished that bottle off. And, recently decided to pick up a bottle of Wild Turkey Rare Breed. WOW!! My first sip was neat. No water. No ice. And let me tell you... Boy was it amazing! The warmth. The flavor. Out of this world! As you can see, I'm a few drinks in on this bottle at the moment. Excited to try some of Wild Turkey's other bourbons! Can't believe it took me this long to really appreciate a good glass of whiskey without having to mix sour into itAnyway...
Cheers!!
Hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend
