Springfield M6

packed with my M6 i have a belt with canteen, knife, mag pouch for my pistol, pouch for extra .22 rounds.

i also keep alot of .410 shells on my belt with Uncle Mikes Rifle Shell "wallet". .410's are too small to be held well in a shotgun wallet, but those heay-duty black nylon wallets holds the shotgun shells great. i keep shotshells in one, and #3 buck in hte other.

the m6's with the pistols posted (new ones before scrapping.,.sorry didnt catch posters name) made me think.

Why not take T/C Contender in 410 and an extra 22h or 22lr barrel. Wouldn't that be a pretty good albeit more accurate replacement for the m6? Just a thought.

Man, hang on to it if you have one. They are awesome and hard to find. I shot a friend of mins, and have lusted for one ever since...... I have scoured every gun show that comes through.....Its like they are ghosts!

I like the Contender, and have one with a couple of barrels. It's fun and accurate. It's also more expensive than the original price of the M6, and a lot heavier, too. Nothing wrong with it at all; it's just that the M6 filled a peculiar niche quite well. I'd look at the NEF Handi-Rifle as a replacement for the M6. All sorts of caliber options, as well as the Topper & Slugger shotguns. A 12 ga Slugger could still be used for birds and small game with lighter loads.
