Spyderco 2016 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Any updates on the mantra? I noticed knifece center has the pre order up with pictures.

I guess the question is which one to get Mantra 1 or Mantra 2?

Anybody know when we may see the Stretch Hap40? Its the only one I have to have.

I have no information to add other than the comment that I, too, like CryoGuy, am thinking that the Stretch in HAP40 is the really winner of the bunch. I'm intrigued by the Mantras but I know that in my daily usage I'm going to get way more traction from something in FRN with the Stretch's blade shape and blade thickness (or thinness, rather).

has spyderco ever run the "jade" or "natural" G-10 before? I'm curious if anyone has any experience with how well it holds up in real use. even after washing and magic-erasering my Millie in the Cru-wear light gray stays pretty grimy looking; I'm wondering if the jade g-10 m4 PM2 will suffer the same fate in my hands. doesn't mean I won't buy it, I just want to be prepared.

I had a Kershaw Echelon in natural or Jade G10. Was no where near as bad as the gray 10. It wasn't that it cleaned easier, it just didn't get that dirty. I didn't use it carry it like my CRUWEAR Mili and Manix though. Interestingly, it also felt a bit different to me. It felt more brittle or harder I guess.

Still no news on my mantra 2. Can't wait to get the email saying its shipped.

Preordering has no bearing on delivery dates. I don't even preorder any more. Just get what I want when I see it or hear about a source.

I just got the full serrated in s35v coming in. How is Spyderco's s110 in comparison? Is it easy to sharpen?

Definitely tougher to sharpen and worse the closer it gets to dull but it takes a long time to get there depending on usage.

I've seen a few aftermarket and it surprisingly held up well.

Gayle Bradley 2 and Sprig have been released. I'm hoping more dealers will have them next week.

Improvements would be one's opinion. It is a little longer, but leaner overall. The choil is now gone. Awesome M4 remains though. I'm not getting it thinking of it as an upgrade to the original. In fact I'm just looking at it as a good size Taichung Spydie with CF, nice liner lock, and one of the best steels on the market. And under $130 shipped!
