Spyderco Delica or Tenacious?

Im a long time reader. I re read some of my posts. I was a d**k. I apologize. But my initial comment was based off of Sal's words. Nevertheless, I apologize.

Let's say you are correct in that the Delica was designed for women. Who cares, and why does that matter? It's one of the best EDC knives of all time, and one of my favorites. Used by both men and women. What's your point?

My point as well.
I like the Delica a lot, its a great size. Doesnt matter for whom it was designed.
As a matter of fact, Ive been contemplating having my Spyderco Delica painted in a 'Hello Kitty' scheme.
Id heartedly recommend the Delica to any (real) man and woman.

Have thought about cutting mine down to the KAHR configuration, as the even shorter blade 'makes it legal to carry virtually everywhere, including cities with ultra-strict knife laws' according to Spyderco.

Further more the Wharncliff and Kahr Delicas look spiffy.

KAHR Delica.
Im tempted to change my Delica to this configuration for the aforementioned reason.
This thread dont have enough pics anyways.

I picked one up about a month ago, but I haven't carried it much yet.

Blade length is not an issue for me, generally so it hasn't made it into the rotation. My SE stainless Delica has been seeing a lot of pocket time since it carries so slim.

I have seen a stonewashed titanium Delica that I was pretty impressed with. A Damascus blade with the Kahr mod would be pretty cool.

I also go with the majority and say the delica. Not sure how I'm gunna tell the guy I gave one to that he's been crossdressing for the last year.

The Kahr Delica is almost criminally underappreciated. The khaki FRN is a great color and the "stonewashed" finish is nice too.
I agree Sure wish they waved them.

I bet a nice finish could be had, if the blade of the standard Delica was dropped in a brass tumbler for a few cycles. Sans brass of course:)

The blade of my Pingo went for a spin in the brass tumbler and came out fine. I bet the blade of the Delica would as well.

I like the smaller knives a la Delica and DF. I use the ZDP-189 DF a lot.
Eventually, I'm going to try that ZDP-189. It kinda has a reputation for being a bit "chippy", but I doubt it would give me much trouble in actual use.

I'm holding my waved Delica and my Kahr Delica both and I just don't know if the Kahr would "wave well". I think the Wise Men Co make a wave attachment that one could use on the Kahr...

The ZDP is a great steel and holds an edge for 'evuh.'
I dont care for the factory waved Spydercos. A fang would no doubt do the trick
Yes, the WMco does make the fang for the Delica and in extension the KAHR(Endura4 as well) - I just visited the site.

Now that video has me thinking of the Signet Ring again.

I have one on a PM2 that I like, but in another thread Lapedog Lapedog talked me out of putting one on a Delica. :)

Yeah I was wholly unhappy with the ergonomics that the knife took on when you stuck a finger through the ring. It just felt totally unnatural.

And why shouldnt you put a fang on a Delica?

No reason you shouldn’t put a fang on the Delica. It’s the signet ring that I had issues with. It made the knife feel very unnatural in your hand, particularly when putting your index finger through it.

It caused the knife to come out the bottom of your fist at a totally awkward angle. With your pinky through it the blade felt very far away from where your hand sat on the handle. It just felt like the ring was mounted in an awkward position compared to many ringed knives or karambits I have tried.

Also I didn’t need a fang on mine cause I just bought a waved Delica.

The ring might take some getting used to.
Fortunately, one can just take it off and post it one the sales forum here.

Im not keen on the look of the factory waved Spydercos. Im sure they work fine though. YMMV
