  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Spyderco Discontinued Products

I snapped much a Lionspy before they become scarce when I heard they were probably going the way of the Tuff this year!

Not probably but for certainty. Kristi just forgot to add the LionSpy to the recent disco list.

As someone who is absolutely in love with Spyderco's serrations (Spyderedge), I'm sad to see the discontinuation of the Lil' Matriarch II. Such an amazing cutting performer for the size and weight. I love Hawkbills, and I especially love the reverse "S" blades. I really hope to see more from spyderco along the lines of the matriarch II, Lil' Matriarch, and the cricket. Now to go nab up a couple Lil's....

There'll be a new Matriarch 2 With Emerson Opener Black Blade this year!

Ramzar any pictures of this lil beast?

In the end, retaining inventory is about sales. Sometimes we'll keep slower models in the line-up despite slower sales because they are related to the "Save & Serve" groups (Police, Rescue, Military) and we like to make them available for those members of our society. I think the Matriarc with the Emerson opener will serve as a last ditch save your butt tool.

Thank you for the insight Mr. Glesser! I've often wondered why some models seem to stick around permanently while others come and go with the seasons.

What about the Tuff Sal? Will that be back with some minor revisions or is it gone for good?
I have a couple of them and if there's another version coming then I'll wait to get that but if it's gone for good I'll add a 3rd and 4th Tuff to my collection.

Bug out bags have one and I like to carry one too.

It's gone for now. Smaller market. Might come back in the future as a sprint, but no plans for now.

I'd love to the Caly 3.5 in Earth Brown in S35v. This isn't something that I think would be very successful, just my wishful thinking. I do hope it comes back. I never was a fan of the CF version.

+1! Wise words...
