Spyderco Endura Vs. Spyderco Endela

I wear a size XL glove, and have always thought the Endura was too spindly feeling, plus, it commits the cardinal sin of not being comfortable to hold. That first peak halfway down the handle digs into the meat of my middle finger when gripping the knife (large hands, like I said), however this is an issue that the Endela and the Delica don't have. As a result, I've got like 15 Delicas, three or four Endelas...and zero Endura's these days.

I will also say that if I had to sell every one of my folding knives and could only keep one, my K390 Endela would absolutely be in the running. Make of that what you will.

Anyone have a pic of an Endela side-by-side with a full size Griptilian?

Pics of full size Griptilian side-by-side with my CruWear Endela (I slightly rounded the Endela peak halfway down the handle).
Sorry about the bad artificial light on these pics. The sun has already set here in France.

Awesome, thanks so much man. Perfect size.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Not sure I understand the question.

AFAIK, the Endela was created by Spyderco to respond to demand for a knife that was smaller than the Endura but larger than the Delica.

However, as noted above, there are other Spyderco models that are about the same size as the Endela, as well as the Endura & Delica for that matter. So, the choice between the Endura & Endela (as opposed to choosing other Spyderco models) is simply a matter of personal preference.

The only Enduras that I own are 4 Gen 1 Endura Clip-its -- 3 safe queens (PE/PS/SE) & 1 user (PE). I collected the safe queens because the Gen 1 Endura user was 1 of the 1st Spydercos that I ever purchased & I wanted MINT versions of it represented in my collection.

The Endura is fine for my use/carry. I've never owned an Endela, Delica or Stretch. So, I cannot comment on them.

There was no question. Just looking for general opinions/ discussion.

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry for the little off-topic, but can someone compare the Endela with Centofante 3? The later is the only Spyderco I have, and I am interested with others' personal experience of both. I've already compared the dimensions. Thanks.

The Cento is pinned, so you can't adjust the pivot or disassemble it. Other than that the differences are mostly ergonomic.

Also, a thinner blade, a much smaller ricasso, and a sharpening choil - to me these are preferable features. I am curious If I have an Endela why eventually I would prefer it over the Centofante? Just thinking out loud.

Bi-directional texture alone is the reason I'd buy one over the other.
Thanks, I do not have a knife with such a handle, but held some in knife shops and I did not like the feeling, even though this kind of texture seems very practical and it's a safety feature as well. Anyway, it's good that for now I will buy one less knife in near future, because to me I already have enough.

If you already know you don't like the feeling of Spyderco's Bi-Di FRN then what is even the question here?

The overall feeling of both holding the knife and when use it. Seemingly I can have feedbacks only for those who have both knives. The texture is important, but not a deal breaker for me, and I am still interested in Endela.

Here is what is interesting,to me, The True North The True North : if Centofante 3 had the same texture as Endela, and it was not pinned-which one would you prefer?

Ehhh.. Other? 😅. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with either of them. I've got both, as well as plenty of other Spyderco's.

But if I'm wanting a smaller, forget I'm carrying it knife, I'm carrying a Delica. And if I'm needing a full size work horse knife, as many others have said, I'm taking my k390 Stretch 2 all day over the Endura..

I like my endela over my endura. Stretch 2 is awesome as well but I find the endela slightly more comfortable in pocket due to size/weight but as stated in above post could probably do fine with just delica and stretch 2 (I have delica, endela, endura and stretch 2 all in K390 and want a stretch XL as well).
