Spyderco Endura Vs. Spyderco Endela

Another vote for the Stretch 2. The difference between the Endela and the Endura is not significant enough in my opinion to warrant thinking about it much.

I think if anything the Endura was made for legal reasons to get a larger Spydie (bigger than the Delica) into the hands of those that live in states that have a 3.5 inch blade limit. If you don’t have those restrictions, the Endura is a fine choice.

I doubt the minuscule blade length difference is going to make or break the knife design for anyone interested in the Delica/Endura/Endela platform.

I think if you are already interested in the platform, the ergonomic lines of the Stretch 2 are going to be better. For a multitude of uses I think having a dedicated forward finger choil is preferable.

Endela is my favorite spyderco folder and I have tried plenty.

Yes k390 is a decent steel but the pd1 version is superior for my life uses with better corrosion resistance and edge stability.

I wish Spyderco would offer SPY27 in an Endela.

I like to tinker...

What the heck…

24 hour update on thoughts and feels???
Wicked sharp, maybe the sharpest knife from factory I've ever received from Spyderco.

I like the handle shape and blade length more than the Endura so far. And the black FRN seems to be higher quality than the orange and brown colours I've had in the past. Hard to describe, feels denser/harder.

Outstanding. I've had some slightly uneven edge bevels from Spyderco but they were razor sharp still. Hate to say it but I feel like the US made FRN is the lamest of all of them. My SPY27 Manix is hardly ever carried because the FRN just feels awful in hand. It's slick, slippery, and totally different feeling than Seki City or Taichung FRN. Maybe it's in my head but the slightly blunted tip of the Endela might be stronger. Definitely maybe.

I've had the same experience with FRN. I much prefer Seki FRN to Golden FRN.

Not to go too far off topic but I will add that Taichung FRN is impressive on my new Rex and spy sage 5s (as is overall fit and finish)

I seem to always go for the larger knife. Depends on your usage and likes.

If you are ok with combo blades, the thin blue line and red line knives are selling at good prices - around $70. VG10, which I am fine with for that knife.

The Police in K390 is what I choose. Scales dye easily if you don't like the goofy blue color. Black is easily achieved. For such a large knife, it carries very well.
I love the police model great 👍🏽 selection

How you liking it? I think I will be much happier with one. I just traded my Delica for an Endela. Looking forward to it.

Love it so far. Lots of use on it already. I've cut cardboard, seatbelt material, para-cord, jute rope, climbing rope, tree branches, burlap and vinyl sacks, heavy rubber hose, hard plastic.

Handles great, VG-10 is no miracle steel but it gets amazingly sharp on the Wicked Edge fixed angle.

Perfect pocket size, nice and light. About as good as a pocket knife gets for someone that actually uses them.
