Spyderco Gayle Bradley the knife everyone loves but...

It might also interest a few people to know, that traditionally Taiwan hates China. So you can rest assured that by buying Taichung knives you are supporting an American ally and not a dirty commy.
You are definitely right on that. I should have made that distinction and maybe that's what the other guy was trying to say too.

I had the opportunity to meet Gayle at a small knife show in Dallas this past weekend, and he's such a great guy that I feel I have to go get one of these collab knives. He showed me one of his early pre-production models and walked me through his design ideas and thoughts - it was impressive.

As soon as I save up some more $'s after buying this, that is.....

The Taiwan Spyderco factory make some of the best quality knives IMO. The GB turned me off because of minor details. The weight and oiling the blade isn't an issue for me; I don't care for how the hole and lock bar is partially blocked by the scale. It's not necessarily a deal breaker, but at that price point there are a lot of other options. Maybe someday I'll take one for a spin.
