Spyderco Green S110V

From those pictures above, it looks like spyderco did a pretty good finish on that blade, which is not easy to do on CPM S110V.

This should be a good one.I hope Spyderco produces more N5 sprints.I wonder what hardness Spyderco is running the CPM S110v at for this run?

Yes I'm quite happy with it overall. The G10 feels like their typical G10 that comes on all the USA made Spydercos. You cannot feel any cross texturing, so that pattern in merely aesthetic. It's a dark tweed green that looks really nice in person. It's similar to the green on the benchmade 940 but a little less saturated. It's a little stiff out of box, but the knife is brand new, so it'll need to break in a bit. My curiosity got the best of me and I took the knife apart already to see how how the Native is built. The liners are heavily skeletonized and the blade tang is marked "3-13". Overall there isn't much to say, it's just your typical Native with a monster blade steel. I too am curious as to what Rockwell they're taking it to.
Nice little knife.

Between a few runs of S90V, 20CP, and the K390 mule, they probably got a lot of experience in handling wear resistant steels.

Just placed my order woohoo!!! It was a bit hairy there for a minute as spyderco's server couldn't handle the traffic between the forum native and the k390 mule and was giving error messages left and right. After much nail biting however, I was finally able to get am order placed. $149 for a s110v native 5, couldn't be more pleased. And now the waiting game begins.

Couldn't bring myself at checkout. I have 2 CF ones pre ordered so I don't think I can swing one of these!

I finally got my 2 Native S110V and 2 MT K390's ordered online. Server overloading issues from heavy ordering and people just checking quantities causing error messages according to Kristy at SFO.

Ditto. It took 40 minutes to get my order in for 2 N5; now I'm going to order a S90V Millie.

You guys will really like the blade. I've been playing with it all morning to get it smooth and nicely broken in.
For those with experience with s110v, how difficult is it to sharpen? What other steel would you compare it too?

I got lucky and had very little trouble ordering mine this morning, can't wait to carry it and try the s110v out!

Cool pics Moxy. I'll agree, it's a great knife. The G10 texture feels like the other G10 Spydies I have - the cross hatch doesn't add any more.

I was able to pick one up at the SFO this morning:
