Spyderco Green S110V

I bought it at the SFO this morning.

So how does it feel in the hand? Is the blade centered and did you notice any flaws of any kind?

I am kinda freakin' out alittle as this is my very first Native not sure if I will like it or not! I hope I do! :D

You'll like it! ;)

This is my first Native. Perfectly centered. It feels great in hand. Lightweight. Fits my large hands really well. I like lock back knives since I clip in Left Front Pocket but am right handed. Allows easy open/close with either hand.

It's a pretty knife with the green handles. I use all my knives, so this will go into rotation with the rest of them.

Mine is centered as well, no play whatsoever. It's an awesome knife. I used to avoid lockback knives. But Spyderco does an excellent job making them very one-hand-close friendly.

I wish I could get one but my money is tied up on a couple custom fixed blades. One from Big Chris and PW.

Thanks for the reply. I like the PM2's alot but they feel just alittle too big/long handle wise for me to be in love with so I am hoping this one will fit alittle better! I will compare the green PM2 and green Native 5 when it arrives. :D

Got mine on order at 09:05 mountain time :) I'm really looking forward to this one. It will be my first experience with S110V.

Same here, and believe me, I'm gonna use the heck out of this thing and find out just what it's all about. I've really got high hopes for this one. I'd be very interested to hear about the heat treat they're running on these, I sure hope it's on the hard side.

I ordered two and now have two CF's on preorder. My Native5 is probably my favorite Spyderco next to the Stretch2, glad that it is getting the premium steel treatment. I've been waiting for these for a long time. I'm with you guys, gonna put it to use... very excited.

One final day one pic: the Forum knife going through it's normal EDC paces for me:

I got one on the way thanks to a fellow member passing on of his 2 to me.I was at work so I really appreciate his kindness. The N5 is my favorite smaller folder and I look forward to future releases. Can't wait to put this steel through it's paces and I am sure some reviews will be posted shortly.

So... These sold out fast today. Does Spyderco usually sell these forum knives in a couple of batches or just the single feeding frenzy?

I believe it's all in one batch. Doesn't look like they made enough for the demand. If I'm correct the last forum knife they did was in 2009. Hopefully they start making it yearly. The knife looks nice however I'm not a big fan of the Native 5 so I passed. It was nice of Spyderco to offer it since they are so backed up at the Golden factory.

Thank you Spyderco for making the forum knife happen.Myself and many others really enjoy the Native 5 series and look forward to future releases. It is one heck of a well built quality smaller pocket tank of a knife!
Best regards,
