Hello, I have a Spyderco junior that I had gotten used. When I got it, it had blade play, and an overly sticky lock. I've since played with it and polished it here and there. The blade play is barely there anymore, and the lock is still a hair sticky, but comfortable to use. This was a real user for me, and has only been sharpened on a sharpmaker. I also grinded and polished a bit off of the blade where the detent ball hits, so it is smooth, and will swing closed with a little flick when you disengage the compression lock. It is still very solid.
