I'm thinking about a Spyderco knife, I prefer one from the USA or Japan, I'm not crazy about China.
My price range is around $100.00. Anyone have any suggestions!

I'm going to go ahead and second that Paramilitary 2 suggestion. Any variation. I don't leave home without one of some kind anymore.

The Manix is another good choice; or military!

Gently used off of the buy and sell section here will be the best deal IMHO.:cool:

I would give the Taiwan (not China) Spydies a chance too; the three Gayle Bradleys I've owned have had better fit and finish than many other folders I've had through my collection. Same goes for the TUFF and Vallotton...

The Manix looks really nice within my price range. I'll check the used knife section.
Thanks again for all the help.

You should include the Taiwan ones in your want list, particularly the Taichung, Taiwan made ones. Taichung made Spydercos are easily the nicest and most sought after Spyies. They offer the nicest fit and finish of any of Spyderco's manufacturing partners(including USA and Japan) and make some of the nicest blades on the planet.

There is a ton of them on there. I have a s30V version and I love it. Good steel and I can actually sharpen it unlike 110v

Manix2 LW S110v is an amazing value, and an incredible tool (made in Colorado). Some blues...

Personally a big fan of the Delica/Endura knives. Japan made and just fantastic in an EDC role.

I like the lightweight BD1 version but the S110V version is the one I'd look for IMHO; Forever Sharp LOL.

Here's my two for motivation purposes ;):

Note that the Black S30v G10 version is almost an ounce heavier than the Blue G10 S110v version because the steel liners are not skeletonized.

Depending on the size you're looking for:
I'd say a Dragonfly 2 (Japan) for a small knife,
A Native 5 Lightweight (USA) for small-medium,
A Paramilitary 2 (USA) for medium-large or
A Manix 2 XL (USA) for large.

I've never been in love with the Delica/Endura and I think the Manix LW is too much money for a pinned construction knife.

Delica or Endura. There's good reason why they're Spyderco's top sellers.

Another vote of confidence for Taichung-made models - all are excellent.

I looked on the used and all the ones I saw were sold. I still need to keep the price at $100.00 or less.
I'm afraid of getting a fake on Amazon or E-Bay so where is a great place to buy from safely? If I just get a plain jane Manix will it still be a great knife, I've never owned Spyderco's before.
I will be ready after the 13th.

I'm always quick to rant about how much I love the Manix2, but if you're looking for something more pocketable, the Chaparral CF is one of my most carried (and practical) knives. The Sage1 is also a good option if you're looking for something a little beefier than the Chaparral.

The Dragonfly2 is of course a great option, and arguably all the knife you will ever need :)

I've had great luck on Ebay (and Amazon) and wouldn't worry about a fake Manix, personally.

EDIT: I just searched Manix on the Exchange and came up with a BNIB S110v Lightweight for $95 shipped from user Bobby_V with good feedback.

My two favorite retailers are also Blade Forums supporting members. Check out Blade HQ http://www.bladehq.com/and USA Made Blade http://usamadeblade.com/(this one might work particularly good for you as USA Made Blade only carries USA made knives). Both are top notch and offer great customer service.
I also like Knife Center but you need to be careful. They'll let you add items to your cart and buy them when they're not really in stock.
There is so much counterfeiting of Spydercos, I'd avoid purchasing from Rivers and Bays!
