Spyderco knives

I like my native, I think it may come down to the type of lock you prefer,
 
+1 Manix 2! The plain jane G-10 S30V runs just under 100 with the LW BD1s around 80-90. Kick your budget up a tad and you can get S110V!

Another Manix vote.....because a PM2 is over budget.
I like one of the G10 versions a little better than the LW....just feels better in my hand!

I just sent BobbyV an e-mail about buying his Manix 2 S110V. It showed still for sale. Waiting for his PayPal address.
 
Another vote for a PM2, if you absolutely have to have USA-made (and that's perfectly Ok!). But don't discount the Taiwan-made Spydies. Spyderco's factory there - reportedly the best in Taiwan - puts out knives of equal (or, dare I say it, even better) quality than some Colorado-made Spydies.

Case in point - the Sage series is fantastic:

 
I love my CF Sage, no doubt, but the camo PM2 is my all-time favorite Spydie - just perfect:

 
I just bought the Manix2 LW from BobbyV here in the for sale section. Who makes custom grips for the Manix 2 and is it hard to change?
