Spyderco Military 2 ?!

I just dont get it, how hard is it to make just a few simple updates to it that are similar to what they did with the PM2? Just change the pocket clip, change the lock, and maybe a few other aesthetic changes.

I agree completely, Im not looking for a complete change in design just a couple little updates, anyway Im not waiting years for it to come out Im just gonna order it now :) even as is the military is still just an awesome knife.

resurrecting an old threat, but is there any news on this? i heard there's been one in the works for a while now, when can we expect to see a 4 way position pocket clipped military 2 with the new bolt lock? i would probably buy half a dozen when this happens

Are you speaking of the paramilitary 2?

No, he means the Military 2, a project for which Spyderco has said many times there is no ETA.

Not long had a Military, and recently got an S90V version too. Utterly awesome I must say. Take your time Spyderco, take your time.

Don't you find the current tip down carry of the Military curves in the wrong direction thus causing the take up of more pocket space? Imagine the same military with tip up carry on the right side, hands can slide in and out the pocket much easier.

I find that the military works best for me in tip down carry. I don't have to do the.finger crawl thing when I take it out of my pocket and open it.

I hate tip down carry. Hate is not a strong enough word. Abhor. This is why I do not own a military. If a military 2 with a tip up option came out, I would jump on it.

I hate that the G10 Police 3 was ruined by all the holes for the 4 position clip. I waited too long. It was on my short buy list, but this new tip up fad took it off my list.

Not for me. I like the current clip and orientation. The only difference would be is what sticks out more in the pocket, it's either going to be the spine of the knife or the G10 handle. I tend not to carry too much stuff in the same pocket where my folder is. As far as the lock goes, nothing wrong with an extremely well made liner lock.
