Don't you find the current tip down carry of the Military curves in the wrong direction thus causing the take up of more pocket space? Imagine the same military with tip up carry on the right side, hands can slide in and out the pocket much easier.
The only other thing that goes in my right front pocket is a handkerchief, anything else goes in the left pocket or a vest pocket. Honestly I just dont seem to have an issue with what your correctly describing.
It took me a long time to buy a Military because of the tip down only thing. All my other folders apart from the 790 Subrosa are tip up carry. Now I'm pleasantly surprised to find how well the tip down carry works for the Millie.
OK, I still prefer tip up, but I find I had no problem adjusting to carrying the Military.
As I understand it, the liners would have to increase to full length to accommodate a tip up clip position, and would add a little weight to the Military. Not much I suppose, but I like it's current 4.2 ounce.
