Spyderco Military standoffs?

You already have some. Simply take them out of the black piece that is there and use just them.

The black backspacers are solid aluminum I believe. I've replaced them with standoffs I've gotten from knifekits after I've ground them down to the right width. Also upgraded the body screws from T6 to T9.

In newer Militarys the black piece is anodized aluminium with no standoffs. Used to do just like you Steve, but alas no longer... :(

Do you leave the factory blade stop or use the aftermarket stand off for that too? I'm interested, but the $14 for shipping is killing me too!

Hmm. Haven't seen any of those I guess. Well in that case the only alternative is to measure the thickness of the one you have with a digital caliper and find stand off spacers at a supplier within tolerance for working with that height.

The newer Millie's standoff actually insert through the steel liner touching the g10, for the blade stop that is. I wonder if the steel liner by the backspacer has a hole cut out for it as well?

You should just keep the blade stop. It presses into the liners and then is held still by the two screws. I bought the standoffs that were linked, they're a direct fit. I don't remember if i paid that much in shipping, i know i ordered some buckles for paracord bracelets as well with the order.
