forgot to mention the improvement of the backspacer on new military models (including the digi camo):

no longer plastic....

... but aluminum :thumbup:

the backspacer on the 710 is still plastic

damn do I miss my military! Simple construction and design yet nothing I carry now ever sliced like that. I had one of the d-2 models and after seeing the condtion its in from the new owner, I almost cried.

I don't buy Benchmade's but I just ordered my first G 10 Orange Military and if it is as good as my Para I will be happy.

For edc the 710 is a much better choice imho. Its way smaller; the fact that they fit that blade into that tiny little handle is a miracle of the universe along with chuck norris' chest hair and anna koppola's cuteness.

However, if you can deal with / want the largeness take the military, I think you might be able to outcut a lightsaber with it.
