SpyderCo Mule Team Grips

Lol, You must have really big hands! That one I can't do.

I maxed the grips out for 3/8" G10. The locators on the backside use .050" material, .010-.015" to deck them flat and .300 thick on the grip with a little bit left over as a safety factor
I do have pretty large hands, so most knife grips are on the small side for me. As large as mine are, I know several other BF members who have MUCH larger hands than mine!

I wondered if these were as thick as they could be. Oh well haha. It wasn't really a complaint so much as, "If I wanted these to be perfect for me..." Excellent work!

I see both of you guys have serrated blades how did the sheaths work in those? Serrated blades can cause issues on kydex and we tuned everything for the regular blades.
I did not notice any issues whatsoever. I'll make a mental note to be more observant for anything that may potentially creep up.

Next batch we will make some customs... IDK if red black is on the list but I can mix up the colors. That's probably 2-3 months out.

Will this next batch also be G10 or possibly micarta as well ? And which additional colors do you for see including in that next batch ?

Oh, micarta would be frickin’ sweet!!! 💯 In for at least one set if that happened! S StonerCNC Tank treads on those please! And something other than black…

I can do micarta but would probably omit the texture on the side.

On these blades a Blue Jean Micarta and Natural micarta (yellowish) would probably look best. Im gonna have Black, Red, OD and a dark brown micarta on the shelf.... Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Micarta doesn't hold a texture like G10.... I can do them.... they'll just tend to have some fuzz and wont be as sharp.

Oh I’m in. Happy to try the micarta and one of your sheaths. I don’t think you NEED the texture and the micarta itself will have that grip/fuzz to it. All those colour options sound good to me , black, OD , denim, natural & dark brown sound wonderful.

Best for me to keep an eye out on your site or will you perhaps post an update here once those are ready ?

Thank you for doing these !

Any possibility of burlap Micarta? (I usually love that stuff!)

Existing scales look great, by the way! 🙂

I think it somewhat depends on the micarta. Some of the better stuff I've handled, from the likes of Carothers especially, machines beautifully. If the fabric is properly and fully wetted by the resin, it cuts quite well without much fuzz. Nathan of CPK uses a lot of Accurate Acculam micarta, because he has found it to be more consistent and dimensionally stable, plus it is made here in America in Yonkers, New York. It machines with extremely fine detail.

The sheath is one of the best I’ve seen (from any brand) in a long time!
