Spyderco Para 3 confirmed for December

rounded = nice
smaller handle = not nice
pin = not nice

It's not pinned. They've just gone to a "floated" stop pin. It wedges between the scales and is indexed in the holes with smaller diameter posts. You can still easily disassemble the knife.

There was never really any good reason to screw the stop pin in place anyway. Aesthetics maybe?

That may be true with knives like the new Military, which has two scale screws on each side. I am not sure about PM 3, which has only one scale screw (plus the floating pin, lanyard tube, and pivot screw).

Glad to hear it! Sounds like a solid way to do it, and should be plenty easy to work with.

Did you note the blade thickness on the PM3. It's near 5/32" thick, that is thick for a 3"blade, a slicer it does not make.:(
Other than that, I like it.

Probably since it does make all the screw heads match on both sides.

According to those specs that little 3" blade is actually slightly thicker than the PM2 or Military. Weird.

Smaller knife? We have to make the blade thicker! It's the only logical choice! Will the PM 4 be something like a Spyderco styled Mantis Tough Tony?
