I recently bought a Spyderco Paramilitary2 and i love the thing to death, specially because of the OUTSTANDING ergos it has.
However, to carry everyday in the pocket, it is a little too big for me! I'm used to 3" blade folders.
I know the regular paramilitary is smaller but it has a few drawbacks that prevented me from buying it:

So what I would really like would be a Paramilitary 3!!!
A smaller Paramilitary 2, really!
3” s30v blade, same design with smaller handle.
If they, somehow, could manage to make the blade and the handle smaller like this...

...it would still keep the finger choil but would be easier to carry everyday.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the para2 but if it had these specifications it would be a knife I would buy in a heart beat!

What do you guys think, am i crazy or would it be a nice option to have?

Come on Spyderco!
Para3...Para3...Para3...:D

i would totally buy at least 3... IMO the PARA 2 is too big in the handle and slightly too large for EDC in alot of urban areas...

para 2 is perfect.. but just a tad too big to whip out in front of sheeple

It sounds like what the OP wants would more aptly be described as a Paramilitary 2 Junior.

oh yea and this is not a new idea, I've seen photos of guys who have "customized" their para 1 or 2 by shaving off/rounding off the handle and they look absolutely ridiculous.. completely butchering the design of the knife.

I say screw the sheeple. something needs to be cut... cut it. Today I carry a Benchmade 580 for defense and a PARA 2 for utility

I have large hands, and the handle is barely big enough for me. I can't imagine it being smaller....it is a scaled down Military already, and don't think we need a Mini Millie.

Spyderco makes several 3" knife models. I have and really like the Sage, Caly 3, and UKPK( I have to use all these in choil position, but I like a choil anyway). The new Native 5 looks like it will be a great knife as well.

the native 5 looks sweet.. as too the comments about being chicken ..that has nothing to do with it.. some us like to abide by local laws and not get harassed by the cops..no need to get defensive about the para 2 no one said discontinue it or remove it simply make another smaller version and sell that in addition to the millie and para 2 .. win win for everyone iMO

^ Spyderco can't make a 3" version for every model, and the Para is already a scaled down version.

I do feel they already make(and have made) more 3" models than any other knife manufactor.
That Native 5 is a beauty BTW!!!

yeah life will go on w/o a smaller para the native fills the void nicely even the chapparal

Yes. One thing they can not be accused of is making too many large knives. Personally, I really like the Sage series. It has a very nice blade shape, and a choice of locks and handle materials. It might be a first in the world of production knives. Plus it helps support Alzheimer's research, a very noble cause by any standards. I will say that I love the Native, it is one of the most comfortable knives I have ever used.
