SPyderco PM2 or Delica?

Oh, to the OP, go with the PM2. Great knife and the whole blade-to-handle ratio thing is a crock if you ask me. It's a really useful and solid and very pocketable ECD option. I have 4 and am always on the lookout for more. I have several Delica's and they're also good knives, but it's no contest between the two for me.

I think as an EDC size matters. Just choose your size that you prefer! That's what matters most!

Yup, and smaller is not always better!

Personally, I like the blade to handle ratio of the Military.

But it is a big knife.

That said, it's slim enough for me to EDC pretty easily.

YMMV.

Big Mike

I agree, the Millie carries very well, especially considering its size. Nice flat profile and light weight (for its size).

it all depends on what you need the knife for. if someone is going to walk around with an adamas, and all they do is cut string and whittle a few branches, what's the point?

I have both knives sitting in front of me. I have the G-10 Delica variant. I can absolutely see why people rave over the PM2. It is strong, light, slim, nice blade shape, excellent lock, great ergonomics, etc. However, if I am completely honest with myself, a Dragonfly will meet 99% of my EDC task. I find myself carrying and using the Delica more than the PM2. If I had to make a choice now, I would probably choose the Delica with Super Blue.

I've been trying to track this knife down for a while. If it's half as good as the G10 Dragonfly, it's a helluva blade.

Choosing EDC tools, whether they be knives or guns or whatever, is a personal thing. What seems inappropriate for one may be perfect for another. In other words, YMMV.

whatever makes one happy i guess. maybe it makes someone feel badass to walk around with an adamas. :p

Its different strokes! Everyone has difft wants in an edc. It's why knives are so fun. A forum member was ecstatic when I sent him my endura to edc. He was like 6'4 and 250 or something like that. In return he sent me a leek and a ukpk. I got rid of the leek and was ECSTATIC about the ukpk. I wear a suit 5 days a week. And am only 5'9. For me the ukpk is the better option. If I got caught with an endura on the subways of NYC it would cause issues that I wouldn't want to deal with.

PM2 x 10000

For every one person that says it's too big to EDC, there are 25 next to that person saying it's not.

when i used to ride the subways i was more into carrying a little pocket flashlight than a knife, just in case the subway blacked out. as far as carrying a knife, i never carried more than a case peanut on the subway.

I actually picked up a Peanut about three weeks ago. It's what I EDC now!

it's a good choice. not very threatening in any way but gets the little jobs done and lets face it, nyc is mostly concrete and steel. me personally i wouldn't carry anything else but a small traditional into nyc. just what you need is going through some kind of metal detector in a building, and they see you whip out a cold steel monstrosity.

Yes I was and still am. The Endura is a great edc for me.

PM 2! An amazing knife for the price. You can pick one up here on the forums for around $100. Can't speak for the delica however, as I have yet to get one. definitely one of the next purchases for me.
