You are 100% incorrect regarding this particular area of eBay's policy.
I too, once purchased a counterfeit Spyderco, approximately 2 years ago. I contacted both eBay & Paypal & filed a dispute. Not only did I get myself & 3 other eBay member's 100% refunds; we also didn't have to return the knives, as the fraudulent seller was subsequently banned.
Maybe that is no longer the case, but it sure was on our specific case.
The process is this:
You file a claim for a refund due to it being a fake, which will fall under "the product is not as described". The seller then responds, in the case they accepted the refund. The directions, clear as day, are that in order for the refund to take place, the knife has to be mailed back, and the postage should be covered by eBay (that part I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure). I know that's how it works. I just went through the process with a buyer of mine who thought that the 0566 scale I was selling him has misdrilled holes, only to find out that his 0566 was modded and actually had a scale screw hole relocated, so the issue was on his end of things. I ended up processing the return and he sent it back just to find out that it was actually his fault. I ended up returning it to him when he paid for postage.
You understand it is entirely possible that you are freaking out for no reason, right?
It is a pretty good fake, and since you obviously fell for it, it seems entirely within the realm of reason that your eBay seller also fell for it.

I completely agree with this. What I'm saying is she says she bought these at an auction in a huge bundle. She also says that she doesn't know much about knives. Her selling record corresponds with that story. That's what I was trying to say in my last comment.
