Spyderco Reveal 20 Live!

Just saw this too. The Charisma and UK Pen Salt are interesting.
I handled the Charisma at BladeShow 25’ and it’s incredible how light it is. Not sure how popular it will be, but it reminds me of the Salsa and Roadie models in their simplicity and price point. I just pre-ordered all 4 colors.

I don't have one of these.

Might be in for a PM2 LW 15V but meh 🤷🏻‍♂️
They do look cool (the PM2 lightweights that is) but to give up the steel liners for less than an ounce in weight savings seems like a tough sell. I don't think I have ever carried the pm2 over the years and thought "boy if only this was an ounce lighter". Maybe matching the choil size to the Stretch 2...that would be amazing.

Like both Chaps, but the Rex is right down my alley.
This week my 15V Native will hopefully arrive and i'll see how i like it. Then decide if i want the Chief.
This' a good reveal in my eyes.

That Charisma needs more charisma tho

The 2 Chaps, especially the Ivory G10 Grabak Damasteel! 🤩 That version is liner less.

Edit: confirmed nested liners with internal stop pin.

The PM2 LW in 15V is interesting and possibly my only buy from the reveal. I really enjoy the Para3 version. Cuts like crazy and disappears in the pocket.

I haven’t followed a reveal closely for a long time. How soon do the knives start showing up?

I think they shoot for a 60-90 day window? Let me see if I can find a note.

Looks like they really walked back the "if it's in a release it's in stores X days later plan". Now it's just coming soon.

Isn't it awkward to open given its small size?
I can’t recall thinking anything negative about the opening of the knife. I couldn’t get over the light weight and the thinness of the blade. It’s definitely not a hard use knife, but that’s not the intent. This is a small, simple and unthreatening knife that I think will excel at slicing. For the price, I don’t think you can go wrong with it.

I just realized that the Charisma comes in colors other than black! I’m pleased to see Buck and Spyderco releasing good knives that are under $100 and made in USA.

Also, I like the green Spyderco shirt.

So, I guess a couple of things are whispering to me. 🤣

The most interesting knives for me a the ones with 8cr steel. I'm not a fan of the steel but the mantras, button locks and Schemp design look awesome. I'd just like a better steel.
