I agree with the general sentiments about the N5. I was really interested when I saw it in the reveal. Much less so when I saw the MAP.

Kinda aus8/440b, 440b in composition but aus8 is the steel often compared to it in performance. Under 440c
 
We always try to provide a wide variety of price points. Though it does seem like most of our models seem to appreciate in collector value over time. We feel it very important to maintain our quality standards, "future" experiments in materials, our culture and special projects like Military & Law Enforcement, and our values which we keep at a very high level.

We don't expect that many can afford to play with all of the offerings, so paying more attention to the areas of higher value to you (Design, materials, aesthetics, etc.) become a greater focus.

I believe we all appreciate that.

Native 5 50th MSRP $1200, that's only $2 a month for 50 years. :p

I love the Native 5 and have a few but even at $900 that's too rich for my blood.
 
I was a little surprised they went cheap on the Ginunting. It seems more like a Flash Batch sort of knife like the Darn Dao, and I would have been in if CPM154, black G10, and Taichung instead of 9Cr18.

The anniversary Native is a chunk, but I can see it with the custom mosaic damascus, which is really cool. It is also not really my thing. I feel like given the price point and that they'd paid for the cool mosaic damascus, they might as well have gone whole hog and given the steel a fancy upgrade as well.

Some variant of Damasteel would’ve been fantastic, but probably would have pushed the price higher.
