I had to take mine apart and deburr it to get it working properly. Now that I've been carrying it for a few weeks I can give an opinion. I absolutely hate the clip. It bunches my jeans and then pokes a hole in them. The frame lock is difficult to operate one handed but not impossible. Having carried a Calypso for 20 years I find the Southard rather thick in the pocket but not unreasonable. The steel and grind are holding up quite well in spite of having hit a rock in the garden. I too find the G10 a bit too sharp but that is an easy fix. I will instead make a new scale as I don't like the brown anyway. This is the only flipper I've used and I am not a fan. The spydie hole is actually faster and more natural. That could change I suppose with enough use. Overall, I liked the Calypso better but it's just too worn to carry any more.
