A knife should not stir this much emotion. It’s a clear win for Spyderco. Love it or hate it, any manufacturer has to love this amount of buzz around their product. 12 pages and going strong.

Not sure I agree with that. People talk a lot about how bad SURVIVE knives is on order fulfillment… is that a “win” for them?

I think people here are defending a fugly knife because of the brand and who Sal is… not because the knife is practical. There’s a difference. You don’t have to worship every knife they make just because there’s a Spyderco logo on the blade.

The stovepipe isn’t a wharncliffe… it’s a cleaver. We’ve only said it about 50 times in this thread. Wharncliffe doesn’t mean “without a point”, so don’t pretend it is.
