Spydercos similar to Delica?

What about the blade thickness? Is Mantra 1/2/3 a better, equal, or lesser slicer than Delica 4?
I'm personally referencing the Mantra 1 which was mentioned here by another. It's slicey and FFG like the Delica. If you want specifics I'm sure they've got them on the catalog or dealer sites. I think their idea was to make a version of the Delica with a different lock, as well as experiment with flippers (back before they had so many) . The Mantra 2 has no spydie hole and looks odd to me so I can't advocate for it, and the Mantra 3 is in boring S30V as opposed to M4.

Plus for the Mantra 1,you can do a flipper delete and have a truly ti framelock Delica!

Never tried the Mantra...but some of us have long been of the opinion that the caly is what the delica wants to be when it grows up.

Never realized the blades were so close in size/shape. I wonder how the handle feels in relation to the delica. I have xl/xxl hands and the delica is actually pretty comfortable

All good choices mentioned. Really up to personal preference. Caly 3 is available new but was close to $200 last time I checked. It's an excellent knife but I didn't carry mine much and sold it. I prefer to Native and the Chaparral to the Delica - not sure why. If you want minimal pocket space taken up, the Chaparral is the way to go. Although the Native pockets very well also.

$200 for Caly 3 is out of my range even though I like it very much. A big selling point of Delica is its handle - for whatever reason it fits my hand perfectly. Both Charp and Native seem to have a shorter/wider handle, which I am not sure are as ergo as Delica. Can I dream about a Delica 4 with M390/20cv/204p steel and FRN handle for ~$120? ;)

Another vote for the Chapparal FRN. It’s a slicing monster, plus the thin CTS-XHP steel is a breeze to maintain. Outstanding fit and finish.

What about the titanium chaparral? It is on sale now for $140. If I read the spec correctly, it is only 2.7oz. Pretty light IMO.

If you prefer that over FRN, and its lower price, absolutely go for it. However, I got mine on sale for like $75 bucks.

One special note, the F&F is friggin astounding. If I wanted to spend $140 i would probably get something else myself. That’s because I typically carry a larger folder. My only criticism is the mounting screw could be better placed for the wire clip.

I really find it to be a Delica killer at $75. I’ve seen a few LNIB go for around that on the forums.

Side note, if I wanted a beater knife that was small, I would love to find another FRN native in S35VN. That knife was awesome!
