Spyderedged Blades: Your Favorite and WHY?

Just got this in trade at a show last weekend-I would have preferred a plain edge, but now that I've played with it a bit it's really growing on me. Only other serrated spydie I have is a delica I xarried as a hideout overseas. This is S30V, tank tread jimping-if the pivot is loose the lock has some play, but if it's tight there's none whatsoever. I do wish they made the millie with a compression lock though.

Well "JW" you just sent the needle on my "envy meter":D going crazy. One of my biggest regrets ever was when I traded a 440V full SE Military model. Even though yours is an S30V I'm still envious as hell :D

And I do sort of agree with you on the locking system on the Military model. You would think as high up the Spyderco totem pole as the Military model has risen over the years they would have beefed up the lock by either going with a compression lock or even better yet making some of them with ball bearing locks. I love the ball bearing locks on my Dodo models.

That full Spyderedged Military is a great serrated Spyder>> A high five and a congrats both are in order. I also love the other Golden, CO USA EArth Spyderedged classics like the Native, Paramilitary and the most envied of them all being the C-50 Centofante SE. Great find my friend!!

I've just ordered my first ... a Caly 3 SE.

I have high hopes!

I have no doubt that the Caly 3 in Spyderedge will be one wicked blade indeed  I've not yet owned a Caly 3 but I have owned 2 Caly junior models with Spyderedges and they were terrific blades.

Out of the entire line of Calypso models however my all time favorite was the big C-54 Calypso model in Spyderedge>> they are getting tough to find now but if any of you can find a C-54 Calypso model in full Spyderedge I highly recommend you jump on it. With the extra long blade the C-54 had it made it like a small chain saw.

Thanks! At first I was worried it was a fake, but if it is its the best I've ever seen.

I've got this one For Sale

That's a pretty blade there "DUDE1" Few people know that they made the ATR in Spyderedge. The titanium SE ATR is the really rare bird of them all but there aren't that many stainless Spyderedged ATR models either.

That was back in the days when most of Spyderco's premium models were available in Spyderedge as well as plain edge. Those premium models in Spyderedge are getting fewer all the time. I sure hope we can reverse this negative trend. Just recently I aquired a Spyderedged JD Smith model and I can't even describe in words how splendid that knife is.

The ATR like many other models out of what I call the GOLDEN ERA OF SPYDERS 1998-2003 were some of the most well designed models they ever offered. And that goes with the Spyderedged models as well.
