*SpyderNation - Open talk and hangout corner *

You gotta be kidding me, now you're vouching for it too? I'm gonna look around real quick, might get lucky. I'm also waiting for a VECP that Les promised me after bugging him so much, so my budget is pretty much shot.

add: They're still well over a hundered bones. mmmmmpass. After a quick look around at places that state "closeout prices for discod Spydercos", you would think they'd have it at closeout prices.

The best I have seen and can still be had is $125. Not bad for a 3.75" S30V G10 x Ti R.I.L. imo.

My Chokwe is incredibly smooth. The back lock is super smooth. I guess it just needs to break in?
My newest Spyder is as smooth as they come. Oh that leads me to the new Spyder lol.

Just got this one in today.

CF/Damascus Caly 3.
Not my pics, they are from the guy I traded with, I just haven't snapped any of my own yet.

Just beautiful, feels great in the hand, smooth as butter, nice in the pocket, amazing blade.

Stunning...

Swoop, how did you get such a big signature picture? When I tried to add mine, it said 19,5 Kb maximum.

I wasn't aware of a max size, I should probably search the FAQ to see if I'm breaking any rules here.. o_o'' I made it myself and just uploaded it to photobucket and stuck it in my sig with the yinzer tag beside it. It never yelled at me or nothin.

Edit: I just did a search for "signature" in the FAQ and I read through it and it said nothing about a max size unless I completely missed it. Looking though it is bigger than everyone else's sig. Any one know the specifics for a limit if there is one? It said no gigantic pictures and no porn and stuff like that, so from what I read I'm alright. I don't feel its too big. I guess i could resize it to be safe though.

From what I know, there is just a filesize limit. If it works then it should be fine.

That's what I'm thinking, I still wanna try something else. It is cool and all but I don't really like it whole lot. I'm still experimenting.

If the mods see it they will make you change it, I know they did me.

N ow how many of you guys had the grail Spyderco's, the two gotta biggies, the Worker, their first producthinking and the Terzuola their first collaboration knife, first liner lock, and first US made kniDr.

I was there in the beginning when everyone thought they were strange little knives with humps, holes and clips.

Yep I was first in line to try out these strange little knives and fell in love instantly,I'm still facinated by the designs and the collaborations were pure genius it showed the flexibility of the employees and the dedication of the workers even more 30 years.

I'll always have at least one Spyderco knife on me at all times usually,2 or 3 not countin' the various key chain, neck chain knives. ;)

I actually meant to say the Chaparral has a super smooth back lock lol. At least mine does. Makes it super easy to close one handed. It's an awesome knife.

But, just to go with me accidentally typing "Chokwe" I'll vouch that it's a great knife. It's big but fits in the hand well, excellent ergos, very thin and flat. The blade shape and pointy tip laughs at boxes, tape, and other chores. It's a thin blade but thick enough to handle a lot of use - not just light cutting. Makes an insane slicer as well. The fit and finish are on par with much more expensive knives. It's silky smooth, light, comfortable, beautiful, strange, and Spyderco really knocked it out of the park.

Thanks for all of the compliments on my Caly. I really love it. Though I'll need to put a new edge on it. It's actually a factory second and towards the back the edge is a little odd. So I may need to sharpen it a little.

Alright, I'm officially #0013. In honor of checking in, thought I'd share something I was messing around with.
I used the banner that Slicey gave us all with one of my pics.
Not really sure why I made these, but it was fun...

Judging from the pictures of your Spydies that you shared with us, I think I know why you took the time and created those hehe.

Are you implying the possibility that I have a condition? Some sort of obsession and affinity with sharp objects condition? :D
I actually only liked this one out of my "Five Years" shots. The PM2 Savage pics are a better representation of trying to capture a vibe I think.

Na I don't think you have to be military or LE some sites just won't sell autos with out verification of age.

This idea of the concept of "SPYDERNATION" sounds cool to me  Any place we can talk freely about Spyderco blades, possible Sprint Runs and suggestions that could make collecting and using Spyderco's great products better is a great idea.

Spyderco has really picked up a lot of new fans here in the past 3 to 4 years both here on Bladeforums and on Spyderco.com's own forum as well. One thing I've always loved about the Great Spyder Factory is that they actually listen intently to what their customers, fans and afficionados have to say.

I don't see how Spyderco could lose and it would be a great way to educate the masses.
