Tornados suck.
now I have to wait until tomorrow to pick up my zt:mad:

I have a 301 myself 9blades and it rocks. Will be picking up a 550 sometime in the coming weeks...I was considering the 561 but don't want such a long knife.

Sorry to hear about your pink eye. That Native is going to be amazing.
Hmm.. I may have to pass on the Baliyo then if it's not really a good pen. I was kind of excited thinking about trying it lol.
I had an 0200 and it was a nice knife. Super thick though, same with the 0301.
I really liked the 0550 - great knife, perfect size, just too big and beefy for me.

I've kind of strayed from ZT's. Lol.

I do want a Spyderco Tuff though.

The Tuff is one of those knives I want just cause its so damn robust. That's why I have a love for the bigger, beefier zt's. I like having knives that can take a beating

Just going to put this out, I know the Taiwan plant has the best quality folders.

But I refuse to willingly purchase from an outsourcer manufacturing plant!

Move Sage production to Golden, ????, Profit!

FCM, I noticed.

And I was going to properly reply to some things while I had the time last night.
Now I gotta pack for a road trip I'm headed on straight from work.

Will be bringing a new blade back this weekend though! Stopping by the Emerson showroom... :D

That's too bad, your missing out on the best Spyderco's IMO.

I really like the 550 gen 2 over the 560. Now that ZT is coming out with the 566, that may change.

I agree, the 550 gen 2 is a great knife. I sold my 560 after about two days. Don't get me wrong it was a nice knife but it was just too big for my taste. I am also very excited about the 566.

I agree with you missing out, and seeing as how you are in Austria, why do you care so much? I have about a dozen Spydies, and not one from the US yet. I have the green PM2 on order, and that will be my first. I buy what appeals to me, and it still supports Spyderco in their growth as a company. Is it any outsourced suppliers? You cannot realistically buy anything that is touched by only one company nowadays. Everything has outsourced components, processes, and so on. Curious why Taiwan always gets brought up and no mention of Italy or Japan.

There is truly a mystique to Golden, Colorado USA Earth Spyders  I've kept my original blue Dodo since 2003 even though I've had many good trade offers for it along with some others that I deem sacred. It actually blows me away that they discontinued the Chinook 3 because I thought in many ways it was almost a perfect outdoor folder. I just wish that they would make more of their great fixed blades in the USA plant.

But I do dearly adore their Japan and Seki City Japan Spyders as well. Probably about 70% of the Spyders I own are from one of the Japanese suppliers. But that's certainly not a bad thing at all. It is strange in a good way that most of the Sprint Runs are the Japanese models for the most part.

When it comes to Spyderedges it seems like the Golden Colorado USA Earth units are great. The Japan serrated Spyders are good to but seem to be a bit more "spiky" than their American counterparts. Spyderco has proved to me that diversity can be a very good thing if done right. Something to consider. Another building block for Spydernation maybe???

I was wondering the same, usually you get that attitude from people in the US which I understand.
