I note that nobody has suggested that Melancholy Mutt's post might be deemed inappropriate. Well, let me. I don't think that it is really appropriate to use that sort of language and to make that sort of reference in the General Knife Discussion Forum. If he wants to talk that way, is that not what Whine and Cheese is for?

Just don't post anyhting like that for real, or you'll be labeled a "troll" and shunned. I've seen it happen, and for good reason. Now, a post such as "Are Sebenzas overrated?" or "Why are VG-10 knives twice as much as AUS-8" is actaully worthwhile, but oyu will get the same answer. It all has to do wtih what you are willing to pay for quality.

Thanks Cadet. And thanks to all the positive comments made since I posted this on Saturday. Several of you said to not worry about the few negative comments that certain forumites posted, don't worry, in my line of work you learn to not take things personally. I was just trying to have a little fun and see what kind of a response I could get. It was, I guess, a way to say hello. If I could have anticipated the response I doubt I would have posted it.

OK - then I apologize for my previous post. Welcome to the forum. Some of us are a little edgy with all the crap disturbers of late - although most of them appear to be drawn to the Strider forum like moths to a flame. You didn't post in the Strider forum, and you don't appear to have wings, so therefore I have determined you are not a troll. :p
