Anouther good reason to disallow anonimity on this forum. I know there are a lot of "minors" on this forum that are good mature kids. Someone find this little grunt and slap him on the left ear hole and see if anything comes out the right side, or you MIGHT just get a hollow ringing sound. Sorta like a dead anvil!!!!!!!!
As they say NO BRAIN NO PAIN!!!!
Spark Back trace the little puke, report him to the local athorities then lock him out for ever!!!!!

I find it funny to see that it took someone until the 2nd page of this topic to say the word TROLL. It's funny that Dingle Balls hasn't posted again, Maybe he/she wanted to beat the old record of the longest thread

It's off to a good start. Hmm... I think that if you are really fat, and you use a small Swiss army knife, you shouldn't have too much to worry about, Just make sure you don't let the blade close on your fingers and causing any SERIOUS injuries

Wait, let me get this straight.

Part I....A minor who is obviously a punk that can't fight with his hands, thinks that if he stabs the other guy he will be cool and impress his friends.

Part II....Minor gets charged with attempted murder as an ADULT (17 is adult age according to the courts).

Part III....17 yr. old punk who can't fight goes to prison for 3 1/2-7 years on attempted murder conviction.

Part IV....17 yr. old punk becomes someones prison bitch for 3 1/2-7 years.

Part V....Good freakin' idea

Oh, this thread doesn't have to be locked or deleted. I think that, overall, this thread speaks well of the cutlery community.

A silly kid stumbles in with a bunch of silly ideas and dangerous misinformation and gets corrected. That's good. That's what should happen.

The really sad thing here is this: this kid is 17 years old, intelligent enough to get on a computer, etc., and yet he can't write a complete, correct sentence. He can't even express a few simple ideas, one paragraph, maybe a hundred words, in a coherent way.

The embarasment here falls not on bladeforums or the community here, but on this kid's school. If this poster is indeed a 17-year old kid, then he is probably a Jr. or Sr. in high school. He as spent the last eight years, his high school, jr. high school, and maybe even the last year of his elementary school, under the current administration. And some wonder why parents want the opportunity to take some of the tax dollars they pay for the schools that produced this fine post, and use them to send their children to other schools.

I agree with Gollnick. This moron is obviously a product of some sad school district, where administrators & parent don't give a rat's ass about their kids' education. It's also sad to see what our young people think they have to do to be part of the "in" crowd. I for one, will NEVER allow my daughters in a place like that.Come to think of it, my daughters are pretty intelligent, and know right from wrong, and have high moral values, and I don't NEED to tell them to stay away from places like that. The real sad part is I pick up kids like that off the pavement every day, and have to look their parent's in the eyes, and tell them why their kid died, or is critically injured. Society as a whole is rapidly breaking down, and it's making me sick.

Oh. As for the pukebag who started this idiotic thread: GET YOUR HEAD OUTTA YOUR A$$!!!!!
 
Now, here's the serious answer:

as some have pointed out very correctly, there is no place in the abdomen where a stab would is not very potentially fatal.

This may make one think that a stab to the abdomen would be a good move to try in a knife fight. But, it is, in fact, a move that is easily countered and even reversed. If your opponent knows what he's doing, you would easily end up with your own knife sticking out of your abdomen. (This happened to me just the other day. Fortunately, we were using blunt knives. I thought I had a good line, but my opponent was quicker than I thought.)

Oh, and getting stabbed with your own knife makes it rather easy for your opponent's attorney to establish self-defense. Even if this 22-year old fellow throws the first punch, if your friend counters with a knife and the 22-year old reverses the thrust and kills your friend, the fact that the knife belonged to your friend and that clearly he made the first armed attack in what might otherwise have just been a bit of a fist-fight, could easily establish self-defense. Your friend could end up dead or permanently disabled while the 22-year old walks away.

Speaking of lawyers, the fact that your friend has discussed this with you and maybe others and that you've discussed it online (and the software here at bladeforums captures enough information that a skilled investigator can probably connect this post to you), means that if your friend succeeds, he may easily be charged with premeditated first-degree murder. At 17, he would probably be tried as an adult and, depending on where you live, may even face a capital sentence.

By the way, if you encourage your friend or help him plan this act, then you may be charged with conspiracy in the crime.
