Stag or g10

Found a new knife to get but can't decide between stag or g10. I like g10 strength qualities but like the look of stag. I've had some stag be too rough, and some g10 be too slick....what to do, what to do.....thoughts?
 
I think it's a matter of aesthetics and utility, which is to be personally considered when hypothetically applying a potential purchase toward intended tasks. In short, that is a question only you can answer. That's why I own both
 
For me, it would also depend on the style/type of knife, and what I am intending to use it for, as to what handle scale material I would choose.
 
Easy question for me, I'm not a fan of stag. I don't like the look. G10 or Micarta for me.
 
G10, Micarta, or carbon fiber here.

It's just more uniform and simpler, less morbid, and easier to modify.

What to do? Simple.

Decide.

They are entirely different materials. Couldn't be more different.

Its like you are asking us if you should like apples or oranges more.

I was asking for people's opinion of each material and why they choose one over the other. Thanks to those who replied
 
I prefer stag, pearl, and other exotics for collecting purposes. I prefer synthetic for my edc's.

Would love to know the knife... as that would have a huge impact. In general, I view stag as not appropriate for anything that would get used on a regular basis.

Why the strange view of a stag handled knife? There are stag handled knives that have survived and outlived Micarta and leather handled knives.

I prefer stag because I prefer it ... not because it is better or worse than G10. It's different. You should too!
